POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA “ANIMALS, LAW AND SOCIETY”
It is a pioneer initiative in Spain which will be taught in the UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona) since this January.
The first professional graduate “Animals, Law and Society” will be taught in the UAB since January 2011. The registration is open until the 7th of January.
This Postgraduate Diploma is aimed to all those people who are interested in animals, either by vocation or because they are engaged or wish to dedicate this professionally, as provided in law.
This is a pioneering project in Spain, which promotes comprehensive education in Animal Law. A new area in Spain, but very strong in countries such as the United States of America, Britain or Germany.
It is one of several training activities promoted by the Investigation Group, which directs and coordinates the Dr. Teresa Giménez-Candela, Professor of Roman Law and Animal Law at the UAB. This graduate follows the research in this area initiated by Dr. Giménez-Candela several years ago, and has, among other achievements, with the opening of legal website Animal Law Web Center (www.derechoanimal.info)
