Romania: 18 months after the approval of the disputed law on stray dogs what is the situation?

On 10 September 2013 the Romanian Parliament adopted by an absolute majority the law liberalizing massive killing of stray dogs. A year and a half since later, the controversy and the consequences of the vote have not ceased.  Animal rights organizations that operate in Romania, such as Save the dogs, still advocate for the implementation of neutering and identification programes, and condemn a law that only allows cruelty and will not solve the problem.(italian)
