No more import of stray dogs in Norway

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority has been commissioned by the Norwegian parliament to stop the import of stray dogs into Norway. As a result, requirements for the import of those dogs have been tightened since July 2018.

In practice, this means that it is no longer possible to fetch stray dogs from abroad, as owners must be prepared to document evidence that the dog has been in their ownership and under their control for at least 6 months before entering Norway.
