To celebrate this day, the Stray Animal Foundation Platform aims to draw the attention to all Dutch dogs and cats owners and call them to get their animals identified and registered.
Microchipping and registration can prevent dogs and cats from becoming stray animals. There are many stray animals also in the Netherlands, cats in particular, who end up in shelters.
It is far easier for the owner to find their lost animals if they are identified and registered. If the cat or dog is found, it is a question of reading the chip and locating the owner in the database. It is best to have your pet chipped at a vet.
A microchip has a unique number and is linked to your details, ask your vet and get your pet identified!
